About Ezequiel

Ezequiel Navarrete is a composer and arranger born in Cuevas del Almanzora and currently based in Almería. He studied Composition at the Real Conservatorio de Música de Madrid, with teachers as Manuel Seco de Arpe, Enrique Rueda, Enrique Igoa, Manuel Martínez Burgos and Alicía Díaz de la Fuente, among others. He specialized in music for media at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Jurre Haanstra and Attie Bauw. He has written music for short films, video games, animation, and independent projects, working in collaboration with institutions such as Lightbox Academy (La Última Campanada, Franceska) and the Dutch Film Academie (Ballet of Service, Donnie Mountain, Nena’s Dance). His sound language combines acoustic percussion, electronics, and traditional orchestra, creating a personal aesthetic that connects the cinematic with the experimental.

In parallel with his audiovisual work, Ezequiel is also active in the field of concert and academic music. His works have been published by renowned publishers and performed on numerous occasions both in Spain and abroad. His compositions have been played in prestigious auditoriums and events, standing out for their exploration of timbre and their treatment of rhythm as a structural axis.

He currently combines teaching at the CPM El Ejido with the composition and production of his own projects, especially in the context of music for audiovisual media. He continues to collaborate with independent productions while developing a growing catalog that includes concert music, music for media, and artistic research projects linked to technology and immersive creation.
